Just finished: A Brief History of Drugs

A good primer, although I suspect it suffers a little from the translation – unless that's how Escohotado writes, of course. But this book makes a good case against prohibition – if anyone still needs persuading. It's amazing how successfully the real history of drugs has been replaced by a set of simplistic myths and nonsensical fictions. Luckily, books like this exist to set things straight (if 'straight' isn't too inappropriate a word to use in this context)… 🙂
